FAQ

What to do when the caregiver did not show up at work at scheduled time?

We provide substitutes in case if the main caregiver is not able to appear at work due to family or health emergencies. Please contact us within 15-20 minutes if a caregiver did not show up at work: 1-800-513-2635

How do I discontinue the services?

You can discontinue home care services whenever and for whatever reason you want with 24 hour notice given by email or with 48 hour notice given by regular mailed letter. We will not accept such termination notice over the phone as our prior experience shows that very often our clients change their minds plus we need a written proof for record keeping.

Can I pay once a month?

Our payment system is set up for billing cycle that automatically sends invoices to our clients on a weekly basis. Some exclusions from this rule can be made based on the case load and client’s situation. Please call our billing department for clarification: 908-477-8440

Do I need to provide a caregiver with something?

Generally our clients are responsible for all medical and non medical items necessary for patient care at home. (Bed pans, cream, gloves, PPE, linen, special foods, diapers, walkers, wheelchairs, canes, commodes etc). Agency provides a caregiver with protective equipment as well.
When caregiver works with a client more than 8 hours a week we ask a client to provide basic food, place to rest (ideally separate room) and arrange 1 hour break in the middle of the work shift if client’s condition allows for it.

What if caregiver talks on the phone a lot?

Our company’s policy is strictly against using cell phones during working ours unless for emergency calls from our agency or family members of the caregiver. However it is very difficult to track an actual cell phone usage and use it in an argument with a caregiver due to privacy laws. We recommend writing a complain letter directly to us and our company will address this issue.

Can I have the same caregiver all the time?

Although our goal is to assign the same caregiver to a client, sometimes it is necessary to make a change. It could be for various reasons (health issues of the caregiver, non compliance with company policies etc) but we always try to consult our clients before making such change.
